Please support the youth of The Urban Youth Collaborative! Please see the request below. We need your support to end B21!



The Urban Youth Collaborative, a youth led citywide coalition in NYC, has been working for the last 6 years on reducing suspensions and arrests. For the last year we have been working on ending suspensions for an infraction in our public school discipline code called B21: defying or disobeying infraction the second most common infraction for which students get suspended. Help us end suspension for b21 by tweeting to the NYC department of education, mayor, city council and press about the need to end suspensions for this infraction.


Attached is a photo you can use an example to create messages. Have people hold them up and write they stand with youth to end B21. For example "Teachers stand with NYC youth to end B21".

We are asking folks to tweet, and spread the word!
