ASAP Closing 6/27/14 Meeting Minutes

Congratulations for a wonderful year!

 

End-of-year briefing “De-brief” 

PLUS’s:

-Good Moderation for Q&A session

                -Good use of reflecting back to the issue/community

-Overall engagement of the audience was good

                -Use of personal connections was effective

-Everyone liked the Prezi

 

DELTA’s:

-More people could have stepped up

                -Returning students can take more initiative

-Could have prepared better for the Q&A during the dry runs

                -One suggestion is prepare by issue buckets

-Follow up on press

-More press could have attended (from more ethnicities)

 

Next Steps:

-Continue with Campaign Bridge asks, meeting with Chancellor, Mayor’s Office, and continue to get Education Committee to hold a hearing.

Announcements:

-Google Drive and Googlegroups still alive, feel free to use it as a resource to get information and communicate.   CACF will also use it to post summer opportunities

 -Remember to spread the word on ASAP recruitment, applications can be downloaded at www.cacf.org

 -New ASAP structure for 2014-2015:  There will be an option for ASAP to choose to attend weekly or monthly meetings as Core or General Members.
