Subject: Call for Papers: Climate Change: Impacts and Responses, Port Louis, Mauritius, 18-19 July 2013

Dear Colleague,

The International Advisory Board is pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the Fifth International Conference on Climate Change and the Call for Submissions to the peer-reviewed The International Journal of Climate Change: Impacts and Responses.

This year's Climate Change Conference will take place in Port Louis, Mauritius at The Labourdonnais Waterfront Hotel. Now entering its fifth year, the annual Climate Change conference focuses on one of the key challenges of our time. Held in partnership with the Allied Network for Policy Research and Advocacy for Sustainability (ANPRAS), our vantage point for the 2013 conference is the small and beautiful Indian Ocean country of Mauritius. One again, the conference will address scientific, policy, strategic and socio-cultural perspectives on climate change.

The Climate Change Conference and its companion journal provide vibrant, intellectually stimulating spaces for scholars from all geographic and disciplinary areas to learn, converse, and create. This knowledge community seeks to create an interdisciplinary forum for discussion of evidence of climate change: its causes, its ecosystemic impacts and its human impacts. The conference and journal also explore technological, policy, strategic and social responses to climate change.

Proposals for paper presentations, workshops, round tables or colloquia are invited, addressing aging through one of the following themes:

* Theme 1: Scientific Evidence
* Theme 2: Assessing Impacts in Divergent Ecosystems
* Theme 3: Human Impacts and Impacts on Humans
* Theme 4: Technical, Political and Social Responses

The deadline for the next round of Call for Papers is 11 December 2012. For full details on proposal submission and conference registration deadlines, please visit the conference website at:

Presenters may also choose to submit written papers for publication in the fully refereed The International Journal of Climate Change: Impacts and Responses. If you are unable to attend the conference in person, virtual registrations also include submission to the journal for refereeing and possible publication, as well as access to the journal.

We look forward to receiving your proposal and hope you will be able to join us in Mauritius in July!

On behalf of the Advisory Board
