From: "Martin, Ann M. (LARC-E303)[OAK RIDGE ASSOCIATED UNIVERSITIES (ORAU)]" <ann.m....@nasa.gov>Subject: [agency-cce-projects] Climate Education Resource Catalog Now Available: NASA, NOAA & NSF Tri-Agency Climate Education (TrACE) CatalogDate: October 1, 2012 10:05:55 AM EDTTo: "agency-cc...@lists.nasa.gov" <agency-cc...@lists.nasa.gov>, "climatelite...@list.terc.edu" <climatelite...@list.terc.edu>The NASA, NOAA & NSF tri-agency climate education collaboration is pleased to announce the public release of the Tri-Agency Climate Education (TrACE) Catalog of educational products and resources. TrACE can be accessed by visiting the NASA Innovations in Climate Education (NICE) homepage (http://nice.larc.nasa.gov) or directly via the following URL: https://nice.larc.nasa.gov/trace/trace_catalog.php.TrACE is a tool for the climate education community that helps educators leverage existing resources, minimize duplicate efforts, and benefit from the expertise of a broad range of projects. To date, TrACE has focused primarily on climate education resources that have been developed by initiatives funded through these three collaborating agencies. We welcome contributions from other federally-funded climate education initiatives, particularly those funded through the partner agencies of the U.S. Global Change Research Program (USGCRP).The searchable and browsable online TrACE catalog currently contains over 200 educational resources, representing more than 80 tri-agency funded projects, categorized by audience type (e.g., K-12 students, decision makers, scientists, etc.) and resource type (e.g., curriculum, electronic media & tools, exhibits, etc.). Wherever feasible, TrACE includes direct links to finalized educational products and resources. Using this tool, climate educators working on similar efforts or in similar bioregions will be able to locate, learn from, and collaborate with each other. The dataset is also useful for visualizing and assessing the breadth and depth of the tri-agency portfolio. We invite you to visit the site and encourage you to share TrACE with your colleagues and communities. Please contact Ann Martin (ann.m....@nasa.gov), a NASA postdoctoral fellow at Langley Research Center, with any questions, or to learn more about how you can add your federally-funded climate literacy and education resources to the catalog.Best,The NICE team and the tri-agency coordinating committee
