I just want to make sure you guys can see how AWESOME we are-- and to see that the college events in CA are probably going to raise more than a million dollars this year. Gives me goosebumps! You all rock!

Post Event Fundraising Plan

Relay For Life 2010 may be over, but the fight to eliminate cancer continues. Create a Post Event Fundraising Plan! Here are some ideas:

Set a goal. How much does your event plan to raise after your Relay is over?  Take that goal and divide it by how many participants are registered to see how much each person will have to raise to help you reach that goal.

Ask Relayers to do 3 things:

  1. Update their personal pages: Post their inspiring moments and a picture from the Relay. Add the names of their donors on this page to show their appreciation.
  2. Send a thank you note to all their donors (again) and point them to their updated personal page to see what their name and what their donation helped to achieve.
  3. Send a final donation ask email to anyone who did not donate or new contacts. Point them to their personal page to see what others have helped to do and there's still time to donate!

Check out the post event fundraising online guidebook for more suggestions.
