Heyhey CACers,

Our old ACS staff partner, Karen Rubenstein, is hosting a walk to raise money for Arthritis research tomorrow at Magic Mountain. She needs a ton of help with setup and for a few hours in the morning. If you can make it, FREE admission to the park for the rest of the day, and the option of buying season tickets for 29 bucks! I'll be taking pictures for the event so I'll be there bright and early, and I've got 3 spots left in my car if anyones interested in joining! Apologies for not sending this out earlier- the email got lost in my spam folder :-(

Take it easy and hope yall are having a great weekend!

-Nayson

ps. reminder - no meeting this week but make sure to sign up for banquet on the website (www.bruinsfightcancer.org). its gonna be pretty damn rad.

Subject: Want to come play at Magic Mountain with me for FREE?

Hi Everyone!

I can’t tell you how much I miss all of you! You really are the best group of volunteers I have ever worked with. It was nice seeing most of you at your relays! (I am super bummed that I couldn’t get out to Pepperdine...but I did donate & watch the video! It looked AMAZING!)
Matters of fact, all of your events were AMAZING! Lots of teams, good food & entertainment and for the first time ever I cried at a luminaria ceremony at USC!

My new job just isn’t the same….because I don’t have YOU! I do have an event coming up and I would love to have you join me! It’s the Magic Mountain Arthritis Walk and takes place next Sunday, May 16th at Magic Mountain. There is a one mile or three mile option and we walk through the park before it opens. There will be a Festival area where we have free food, face painting, balloon artists, stilt walkers and of course “Mr. Six”. I have talked to some of you about volunteering and am thankful! Nayson is our official event photographer! WOOT!
I do need a lot of help and would appreciate it if you would pass this email on to your committees for me! (cc me please :o)

Here’s the deal! If you volunteer for set-up and decorating on Saturday you get a FREE TICKET TO PLAY AT MAGIC MOUNTAIN ON SUNDAY! Anyone who volunteers Sunday at the event gets a FREE SHIRT & FREE TICKET INTO THE PARK THAT DAY! Once you get into the park there will be an option for a $29 season pass. I know I’m getting one!

Here’s where I need help:
Saturday noon until we are done. Probably 3 or 4pm. We will be hanging banners, putting up ez-ups & decorating the tents. No promises we can go on rides afterwards but I will give you a free ticket to come back the next day. I can also be easily talked into buying us funnel cake when we are done…

Sunday I need help from 6:30 am until 11am. (yes, I know it’s early and yes, I will be up and there by 5:30am. Shocking!)
It’s event day so you know the drill…registration, t-shirts, wristbands, food area, etc. I also REALLY need a few peeps to get there at 6am to do a balloon arch. Everyone on Sunday gets a free volunteer shirt & day pass for the rides. 6am balloon arch people get even more stuff…want a Starbucks Card? VISA Gift card? I am bribable!

I can use lots of volunteers (like 100!) so feel free to pass this on to anyone you think might be interested! Please email me by Tuesday May 11 if you can help and let me know the day & time you are available.

Thank you! I hope to see you at the Walk but if not let’s have lunch!

Xoxo,

Karen

Kick Off is near- have YOU guys signed up your teams? How about roommies? Random classmates? That kid you run into all the time but can't quite remember the name of? We're at 87-- and we're rocking it!
