Hi all:

The time for next Monday Okada restaurant is lunchtime at 12:30pm Sept 6 for the Labor Day Holiday. Forgot to put that in the Minutes.

The following Monday Sept 13 the Library Meeting rooms are taken by another group so CABS needs to decide on a different location for us to meet.

Since that was to be our Game Night then we could try meeting at some one's house or else meet again at the Leonardtown wharf.

I do not want to meet at the Lex Park Library.

I say majority rules, take an impromptu vote before we loose the only place we have for the moment, Lex Park. Phone calls would be the best way to go. 
Not doing your job & having not reserved LT library is not an option. At least Karen is doing something for the good of all of us that want to meet.

After much controversy about Lexington Park library there has been another solution temporarily.   
Mary Jane has OFFERED her garage as a meeting place / it is a two car garage with tables and chairs.   It is near the hospital good location.   
So if we have enough interest I can cancel the LP library for September and we meet at Mary Janes for the Mondays in September.    I will not cancel October until we decide.    
And November Monday’s are already reserved at LEONARDTOWN.   

I really need to hear from people on this change before I cancel and send out Mary Janes address.     We will be able to have our game night with snacks on the 13th.    It is very accommodating of Mary Jane to have this at her house so we need to thank her.   
Please let me hear your thoughts on this ASAP.

I had a big response for holding meetings at Mary Janes house so for September 13 we will be there 
I will send directions out to everyone bc there are some that have never been there.    

James — I have no response from you so far but I assume you will vote ok bc your first email suggested someone’s house .    So for now ALL SEPTEMBER MEETINGS will be held at Mary Janes and most likely October if it goes well. 

September 13 is still game night with bringing snacks ( if you want).

Hi to all:

I must say that I do not like this idea of meeting in any basement or garage as it is unseemly and loaded with complications.
Last time we wanted to have a meeting at a person's house then the house rules were far too different from the needs of CABS.
As like - does Mary Jane understand that Karen has invited the entire CABS roster which has at least 46 people listed and so she could have 20 - 30 people show up to her garage and her parking area too which is a lot for any personal property. Maybe less than 10 people will actually show up but they did invite over 46.

I see using any basement or garage as a wrong idea to do - but in this case I do not want to be a Mr negative so this one (1) time is not an official meeting and you do not need me as the President to be there so Karen can have any event that she wants - and I hope you all have fun on Monday.

My opinion is that it is never a smart idea to use anyone's personal private property unless and until the owner has full understanding of the risk and complications associated with such an offer - and even then it is better to find a public location for the Meetings.

First of all YOU suggested a house in your first email and when you refer to another private event like picnic at my house your so called rules were made up by you.    I did invite entire group to the picnic and to Mary Janes but as you know we NEVER have 46 people.    All Cabs members are invited but as in the picnic we do not have a rule that says you SHOULD BRING GUESTS AND FRIENDS.
You did not reserve the Library and Mary Janes garage is cleaner than my house (unfortunately).    I am not hosting the meeting Mary Jane has graciously offered an INDOOR area for our meetings until we get back to the library in November (which I reserved for Cabs and which you insisted that I cancel).   I WILL NOT CANCEL NOVEMBER MEETING DATES- makes no sense. 
We don’t want to put an end to Cabs bc of your PERSONAL likes  and dislikes.    If you dislike it we have a VP that can run the meeting in your absence.    So it is an OFFICIAL MEETING WITH THE VP -   You are a president of a SOCIAL GROUP not a DICTATOR.    The Cabs group has existed 25 plus years and you appear to want to end it with these so called rules that do not exist - you don’t follow the by-laws as they are - you had no election and no revision to by laws and two signatures on checks over $100 to mention a few instances that took place.   
For many years we have had to find a place to meet that did not charge us to use and we dont need to mess this up now.
First you won’t attend Lexington park library and now you can’t meet in a two car garage that has plenty of room for our meetings that have approx 15 people.   If for some reason 46 people show up ( and you know they won’t) we will use the entire house and figure it out. 
I let you ruin the picnic with your crazy rules that did not exist ( and it was not a Private party all WERE invited) only bc I was doing a favor by lending my property vs paying $170 for entrance to Greenwell.   I decided I did not need to argue and fight to have a picnic at my house which created work for me!!!
BUT WE WILL MEET AT MARY JANES on September 13 Monday at 5:00 and it is an official meeting. 

And as far as the election goes Mary Jane said you would not say whether you are a candidate for any officer  and you told her YOU ARE UNDECIDED and that’s the way it remains — no one can vote for an “UNDECIDED” so the answer is yes or no.
