Is it ok to seek support here?

Hi there.  I run Lubuntu 12.04 on my Mame cab.  I've been using WahCade as my frontend for a long time, as it's been the only frontend available on Linux for the last few years.  Unfortunately, it's buggy and out of date, but I've tolerated it given the lack of alternatives.  Long story short, Cabrio FE really caught my eye, and I think I may consider switching to it.  The thing is, however, the support docs seem to leave some things out, and I don't see a support forum on the Cabrio webpage.  So I came across this development group, but before I begin asking questions I want to make sure it's not in poor form to do so in a developers environment.

Sure - as you say, there's no official place for support so I'd say go ahead and ask, at least until we have a better alternative.

Can you please give me your configuration? So I understand what is different from mine and improve!

hi, im also new to cabrio, i saw its use thru the mamecab french iso that was knocking about,

i also notice that it shows a .cabrio folder on the user profile of such,

i think this could be the issue with your config xml file jorge.

example:

you file has this in it:

<background>

<image-file>/home/platao/cabrio/background/tjet.jpg</image-file>

<rotation>0</rotation>

<transparency>10%</transparency>

</background>

<font>

<font-file>/home/platao/cabrio/data/fonts/Ubuntu-B.ttf</font-file>

<size>55</size>

what you would need to change:

concider this and overwrite the relevant areas of the file

<background>

<image-file>/home/platao/.cabrio/background/tjet.jpg</image-file>

<rotation>0</rotation>

<transparency>10%</transparency>

</background>

<font>

<font-file>/home/platao/.cabrio/data/fonts/Ubuntu-B.ttf</font-file>

<size>55</size> 

providing thats all that is the issue (i.e. if u have everything else set up right that is)

you should be good to go from after this change.
