Hi fellow California Ride of Silence Organizers,

It's that time of year when you should be putting together your annual Ride of Silence.  Much helpful info is on our website, https://rideofsilence.org/main.php. 

We ask that you comsider ride Insurance.  You can find good insurance info on the website of the League of American Bicyclists: https://bikeleague.org/join/bike-clubs/insurance-clubs-and-organizations/and.

In addition to recommending insurance, the RoS Board of Directors requires that ride participants sign a liability waiver.  A simple form is attached.  Insurance and the waiver protect you as Ride organizer and members of the Ride of Silence's Board of Directors in the event there's legal action by an injured participant.

Obviously, the RoS Board can't enforce signing of the liability waiver but we hope you will understand why this is so important.  It's very easy to do at the start of your ride.

If you have any questions about how to register your upcoming ride on the official Ride Silence website, https://rideofsilence.org/addlocation.php or posting youe ride details after completing your ride, https://www.rideofsilence.org/reports/, don't hesitate to reach out.  Both tasks are very easy. 

We encourage you to post your ride on social media but PLEASE make sure you also post on our official website.  It is the ONLY place where participants all over the world as well as the media can learn about the number of rides ahead of time and about rides after they happn.
