Hello San Diego Bike Coalition!

I am writing to see if members of your community would be interested in a summer position where they can travel the US, wrench on bikes, help people achieve their dreams, and support those with MS?

Bike the US for MS has been leading cross country bike tours to raise funds to fight multiple sclerosis for 18 years. Each year we need a handful of summer season mechanic / route leaders to help make these charity rides possible.

We are looking to hire mechanics / leaders for our two summer rides:

TRANS AMERICA: June 8th to August 18th. $2,840 payment for leading.

After a few days of training in Blacksburg, VA, the cross country adventure will start in Yorktown, VA, cross the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Ozarks, the Great Plains, the Rockies, the wild west of Nevada, before reaching Lake Tahoe and finishing in San Francisco.

PACIFIC COAST - June 26th to August 10th. $1,840 payment for leading.

Starts in Seattle, WA for a one week training tour around the Olympic Peninsula, and finishes in San Diego, CA while passing through Tillamook, the Oregon Coast, Redwood Forests, San Francisco, Malibu, Santa Monica, and so much more.

They would be responsible for helping cyclists with minor repairs, driving support vehicles and would be free to have a riding day 3 times a week while seeing the country and helping those with MS. We can cover the cost of travel expenses pre/post trip, all of their team accommodations, and direct payment as an independent contractor. And hopefully we can offer one of the most rewarding trips of their life!

I’ve attached posters of the job description / our 2026 tours in case you wanted to forward it to anyone that's interested, post them on socials, or were generous enough to print one out and put it up in your shop. Any help or advice in spreading the word would be greatly appreciated.

Aside, I am based out of San Diego and would love for the opportunity to connect and learn more about each other's organizations!

Thank you so much for your help!
