This plenary chat will focus on the role of roadways in cities and what local leaders can do to shape their use most effectively for all users. More than sites for mobility, streets are public spaces used for a variety of activities. How cities view, use, and regulate their streets is critical to shaping the future of cities and the lives of residents. This conversation will explore the ways local leaders are thinking about their streets and what challenges/opportunities they see in embracing new practices and shifts to infrastructure design and use.
