Does anybody else think this editorial may be a deliberate attempt to confuse the issue by identifying Blakespear as a “bicycle advocate”, despite the fact many serious bicyclists and bicycle organizations oppose her use of cycle tracks and attempts to make their removal extremely difficult?

We are watching vote trading and the amendment process as this bill lingers.

Similarly, Blakesphere and CalBike got prohibitions/limitations on establishing Bike Routes and use of Sharrows on many roads we use.

Encinitas City Council sent a letter of opposition, and our Mayor and Deputy Mayor flew to Sac'to to lobby against it. As many of you know, this bill was written solely to protect the ill-conceived bollards that went in under Blakespear's watch when she was our Mayor.

According to CABO's legal analyst, the bill and others are in a political trading process, likely unrelated to the merits of the bill.
