I need more people to fight against this "protected bike lane [sic]" cycle track on Encinitas Bl. Spread the word.

PLEASE absolutely NO "Encinitas Protected Bike Lane [sic]" First, words matter, and this is NOT a Bike Lane, but a Cycetrack. Second, the existing configuration provides for adequate vehicular traffic flow with wide paint-buffered bike LANES, which avoid the right turn, left cross, and side entry hazards inherent in every so-called "protected" facility. Don't delete a needed travel lane, and don't eliminate the existing Class II bike lanes, which work extremely well. I am an avid cyclist who uses this stretch of road for transportation purposes.

Thank you,
City of Encinitas

John, Jim, et. al.

What specifically shall we do? Meetings? Testimony at City Council? Letters to the Editors?

Pete
