It seems that it's not just Bike Lanes being attacked; it's Bicycling!
I hope all citizens are aware of the issues, all the issues, and prepared to vote in November!

URGENT: BIKE LANES ARE UNDER ATTACK!

Here at the League, we’ve seen attitudes toward bike infrastructure ebb and flow from administration to administration. At the same time, our long-term polling data is clear: Americans of all political leanings love to ride.

Thanks to you, we’re standing up against the rhetoric. While some try to drag bicycling into the culture war, we’re telling Congress the safety of people biking is not up for negotiation.

The Secretary of Transportation has made his intentions clear: defunding what he calls "DEI bike lanes," removing bike lanes from the Department of Transportation's own list of projects proven to make roads safer, proposing to restrict almost all federal funding for bicycle lanes, and even asking to use that funding to remove current bike lanes.

There's only one conclusion: bike lanes are under attack.

The desires of this administration to remove proven safety infrastructure will cost us all, in lives lost and greater congestion and car-dependency. With your gift today, we can fight back.

Together, let's SAVE AMERICA'S BIKE LANES!

Separation advocacy increases animosity against bicyclists. This is an overlooked cost of promoting bike specific infrastructure, especially if it removes parking or reduces traffic throughput.

Perfect. LAB takes no prisoners with it's Not for Negotiation position on what IT deems-- and promotes-- as "safety."
As Serge says, Separation advocacy promotes animosity against cyclists. That's a proven social (Marxist) process, separate classes and sew resentment. Separate But Equal didn't resolve racism. Separate Bike Lanes will not resolve "modeism."
E-things are proliferating. Pedal bikes are receding. And Badvocates are frantic to force Segregated Bikeways on cities nationwide.
Where is the national advocacy for Americans who actually ride?

This is precisely the 2023 FFWA "study"
which this document:
Unproven separated bicycle lane safety:
Overreaching conclusions and marketing by transportation agencies
attached, completely refutes.

So sad that we face increased risk of injury and death at the hands of bureaucrats who claim to the "saving lives."

Bill, thanks for sending this out.
Is it too late to send the attached to the council members?
