"Tommy Wells chief of staff Charles Allen just posted a note listing the new changes being made for "improved safety." They include four "speed tables" -- think long and less pronounced speed bumps -- on the north and south sides of the square, three of which will function as raised crosswalks as well. DDOT will also add more crosswalk and pedestrian signage and paint new bike lanes on the north and south sides of the park. So an already bike-friendly neighborhood will be that much friendlier."
