Thanks Iain, I guess anything that uses the Csound API seems to be
related to your work? My main goal is to bring Csound to the masses by
letting them use it directly within their favourite DAWs. I'm almost
there with the OSX beta release. I had to apply some hackery to get it
going regarding plugin IDs but it seems to be working ok in my early
tests. The code is available to browse at
http://code.google.com/p/cabbage/ just go to browse code. I was pretty
quite regarding the whole building Csound discussion on the Csound
list. That's because I don't need to build Csound in order to use the
API. It's true that I build it on my linux box but on windows and OSX
I don't need to. Not having to build Csound reduces a lot of headaches
as you can well imagine.
Btw, the code online is vastly improved to the code used in the
current windows release. I only put out that release to keep some
people happy. I wasn't really into releasing it at that stage but it
seemed to keep the sharks at bay for a while. The next release will be
much more streamlined, and might actually look to some people like a
really useful piece of kit.
Rory.
