Hike next Saturday!

Hello everyone,

We are going to wait only one week between the hikes this time only. The reason is to catch the lunar cycle. We'll resume the two week period afterwards.

Why the lunar cycle you ask? Well, it's the full moon, so night hike in the cool temps with the cool kids. It's Mission Peak, at night!

For those who haven't done a night hike with us, don't be alarmed. Trust your rods for scotopic vision! Bring a flash light or a head lamp, just in case, but we'll do without. Also, have a jacket because it's windy at the top.

We always follow the first rule of hiking and don't leave people behind. So please be on time. For parking, park a little bit further than the address I gave but meet us at the gate.

Also, maybe In And Out burgers afterwards?

Hello,

I'm sorry to cancel this week's hike. As Pete mentioned, the timing doesn't work very well, especially since the park does close at 10.

So, in short, no hike this Saturday, but in 2 weeks. I will schedule the hike in 2 weeks later. Suggestions are welcome.

I believe the Mission Peak Preserve has a park curfew from 10 PM – 5 AM so anyone caught inside this area is subject to arrest or a citation.  Will we have enough  time to hike the planned  route and exit the park before this curfew time?  I am not familiar with this area as I have not hiked here before.
