  • Building Information Modeling (BIM)
  • City Information Modeling (CIM)
  • Collective, collaborative & interdisciplinary design
  • Computational design research & education
  • Design cognition and human-computer interaction
  • Disrupted practices, resilience, and social sustainability
  • Environmental and ecological performance
  • Generative, algorithmic & evolutionary design
  • Heritage
  • Interactive environments
  • Material systems, processes and assembly
  • Practice-based design research
  • Robotics, digital fabrication and construction
  • Simulation, visualisation and impact projection
  • Theory, philosophy & methodology of computational design research
  • Urban analytics, big data analysis and smart cities
  • Virtual / augmented / extended realities

Paper publication will be subject to review acceptance, to compliance with submission deadlines and formatting guidelines, and to payment of the conference registration fee. Full Papers:

Full papers will be subject to a double-blind peer review of full-length manuscripts. Length: 10 pages fitting the CAADRIA format (ca. ~3000-4000 words). Full papers should be submitted using the ProceeDings Web Editor system. Several requirements for the structuring and formatting of your content apply and can be found on our submission guidelines page.

Papers submitted to CAADRIA should contain original, previously unpublished work and not be submitted to other conferences or journals. The text will be automatically scanned by our plagiarism detection software and may be rejected if there is an unusual similarity with other academic publications.

We welcome high-quality papers that present research findings and original contributions to the field of computational research in architecture and urbanism. The work should be positioned in relation to previous research in the field concerned. In relation to the conference theme of ‘Projections’, we encourage authors to broaden their discussing on the research findings, towards further development and societal impact of the work in relation to pressing global or local challenges.
