Dear CAADRIANs,
Please see the following call for papers below:
Resilient Futures: 59th International Conference of the Architectural Science Association (ANZAScA)
The Architectural Science Association (ANZAScA) and Xi’an Jiaotong–Liverpool University (XJTLU), with its Design School, invite you, as well as researchers, practitioners, educators, and industry leaders from architecture, civil engineering, and related fields, to submit your work to the 59th International Conference, "Resilient Futures." In an era marked by rapid climate change, technological disruption, and shifting social paradigms, the pursuit of resilience has become both a central challenge and an opportunity for the built environment.
The 2026 conference seeks to explore and define the pathways toward a resilient, adaptive, and equitable future. We are interested in how architectural and building science, at the intersection of art, technology, and environment, can provide the critical tools, methods, and philosophies not only to withstand the shocks and stresses of our time but to thrive through them. This year, we place a special emphasis on the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a catalyst for innovation and change, the imperative of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the need for interdisciplinary collaboration to address the polycrisis of the 21st century.
