Hi all - quick question about postings to this list
As part of ARIADNE < http://www.ariadne-infrastructure.eu/> we will be publishing some archaeological data as Linked Data and generally providing semantic resources/info (in WP15). We just had the first meeting of a new ARIADNE Linked Data Sig during EAA in Pilsen, where we discussed some of the opportunities and challenges for archaeological Linked Data.
One of the main purposes of this new Sig is to act as an interface with the wider community, communicating developments between the wider community and ARIADNE and vice versa. With this in mind, the CAA Semantic Sig seemed an obvious venue for communication to everyone at the meeting, many of whom were already members.
What do CAA Semantic Sig members think – would anyone have any objection if we made some postings to the list? I don’t anticipate a huge amount of traffic from the ARIADNE LD Sig and hopefully it might be of interest. We wouldn’t be attempting to change the nature of CAA Semantic Sig but just be one of the threads of conversation within it.
