EZ Decoder is a combination of freeware, shareware, and a program I
wrote myself. It is designed to make downloading and decoding from the
internet usenet newsgroups faster and easier. After you start the program,
it does almost everthing for you except choose what files you want to
download. EZ Decoder allows you to download and decode as many single or
multi-part uuencoded binaries (gifs, jpgs, exe, mpegs, wavs, etc.) as your
RAM can handle at once.
Simply mark all the parts of as many articles in as many newsgroups
as you wish to download and decode from your news reader (supplied with
the program). It works exellently with Trumpet News Reader 1.0. EZ Decoder
automatically batches them into something the decoder can recognize, decodes
them, and arranges them for viewing. It's up to you whether you want to take
time to view them. If there was a problem with the extremely fast decoder,
the program allows you the option to run a second-pass decode with a
different error-correcting decoder that runs slower. The decoded files that
you chose to save are then automatically moved to an archive directory so
that the viewing area is ready for the next batch.
The program runs in a continuous loop so that the most bothersome and
slow shareware agreement signs don't keep popping up and you can return to
the newsgroups without restarting the program. Another convenient feature is
that, if for any reason the program hangs up, the files you have downloaded
will not be lost. A pushbutton selection system allows you to restart the
program where you left off.
Without leaving the program, you can view gifs, jpegs, dls, gls, mpegs,
avis, etc. You can listen to sound files, unzip files, and test executable
programs. And there are other convenient features that I'll let you discover.

the United States.* What you'll receive will be a 3.5" DSHD diskette
containing the EZ Decode program and a superfast copyright-expired decoder.
The disk also contains the anonymous FTP addresses(tested) of all
shareware and freeware necessary for the program and many ftp addresses
for viewers and file processors that I know work well with EZ Decoder.
I can't send you those programs on the diskette because most of the
authors prefer that they be distributed by ftp. EZ Decoder works with
16-bit or 32-bit windows. You"ll also receieve printed step-by-step
installation and operating instructions. In addition, I'll be available
