Quality Assurance Manager:
Permanent Full-Time Position
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this position is to lead and grow a
Quality Assurance organization according to our QA philosophy. In this
role, one is expected to:
Shape and communicate the overall Quality Assurance strategy and
vision for the company. Guide the definition and continual refinement
of Quality Assurance processes, tools, and architecture
Play a key role in the definition and ongoing refinement of the
overall product release process.
Coordinate effectively with Engineering and other departments - in
particular, product development and product management. Provide technical
and organizational mentorship to members of the team. Manage and guide
the
growth of the team to scale effectively along with the rest of the
company.
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Engineering.
General Responsibilities:
Building and managing Storm's quality assurance team.
Developing Storm's formal QA process and procedures.
Working effectively as a peer group to SW & HW development.
Moving software efficiently through the testing process to GM.
Moving Storm-developed hardware through testing to release.
Contributing to the overall success of Storm Technology.
Specific Responsibilities:
Test plan development and execution.
Source code control and build management.
GUI test automation tools (QA Partner, Visual Test).
Push to use profiling code (Purify, Bounds Checker).
Implementing a commercial bug tracking system.
Building and managing Storm's software QA test lab.
Building and managing Storm's hardware compatibility lab.
Experience:
This position requires a minimum 2+ years as a QA Manager or Lead Engineer.
Proficiency with formal test planning and QA process.
History of using automated test and bug tracking tools.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Demonstrated leadership skills and performance.
Windows95/NT, Microsoft C++ development tools.
BA/BS in Computer Science or related field.
Programming experience preferred.
History of testing scanners a plus.
Product Quality Assurance Engineer:
Contract and Permanent Full-Time positions
The Product Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for:
*QA testing of our software and hardware products.
*Interfacing with product development teams to test new
products and architectures
The ideal candidate will have these qualifications:
*Experience testing software and hardware products. Previous scanner
testing a plus.
*Positive attitude and enthusiasm for the job and the desire to make a
difference.
*2 years experience in a technical and/or customer support environment
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
*Excellent problem analysis and problem solving skills
*Ability to work well under minimal supervision.
*General experience with DOS/Windows95/Windows NT4.0
*Excited about cutting edge technology
Also looking for a Release/Build/Installer/Test Engineer
Full-Time Permanent position
Must meet the above requirements as well as:
*Responsible for integrating components, making system
builds, and managing releases.
*Should be familiar with at least one Source Code Control System,
Microsoft Visual C++.
*Experience using InstallShield to build an installer.
