Position: Software Engineer - Server Component Development

Duties:
Candidate will work in the applications group at PowerTV contributing
to the Web-leveraged architecture. Primary responsibility will be the
development of a content preparation tool to format Web content for a
broadcast Cable Television network. The candidate will be responsible
for the design documentation, implementation and initial testing of
the tool with support from other members of the development team.

The candidate will work with our technology and content partners to
ensure that the tool provides seamless conversion of two-way web-sites
into compelling broadcast data services.

Reports to:
Network Development Manager

Qualifications:
Requires at least 3 years experience in network protocol and web
protocol software development and some familiarity with graphic
format translation. Strong experience with UNIX, Windows NT and
Windows 95 a must as well as an excellent understanding of Internet
Protocols, HTTP, HTML, and WinSock.. Experience in C, C++ with MFC
knowledge required. Java experience and use of Rogue Wave/Tools.h++
an advantage. Prefer a BA/BS or MS degree in Computer Science. Track
record of architecting, implementing, testing, and shipping real-world
commercial software products a plus. A high level of communications
and written skills is required, experience in customer relations a
plus.
