Description

Primary Function:
Responsible for developing, implementing and
maintaining methods/documentation, operation sequences
and processes in the fabrication of parts, components,
sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Participates and
supports new product development and coordinates the
release and introduction of new products. Estimates
manufacturing costs, determine time standards and
makes recommendations for tooling and process
requirements of new or existing product lines. As
required, maintains records and reporting systems for
coordination of manufacturing operations.
Duties:
Support and sustain the existing implantable and
external production processes and operations. Evaluate
and develop product/process designs and implement
production methods, tooling, testing for emerging new
products. Develop production trending methods, analyze
results and implement corrective actions. Set-up,
coordinate and maintain suppliers for product's
critical components.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
Good working knowledge of solid-state electronics
(Analog and Digital), knowledge and experience in
thick film and PCB based devices, high density
interconnect processes (CSP, BGA, Flip-Chip, etc.).
Familiarity of medical device manufacturing
requirements, FDA and ISO compliance guidelines.
Fundamental knowledge of concurrent engineering,
process improvements methodology, and statistical
process control (SPC).
Experience:
Minimum of 8 years in a related field at a rising
responsibility level.
Education and Training:
BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
