Position Summary
The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of skill in
object oriented design and development and will require an in-depth
knowledge of C++. Experience with Oracle Spatial will be an advantage.
Responsibilities
Work as a key member of a team designing and developing GIS and
mapping functionality. Design, document, and deliver high quality
software solutions on an agreed schedule. Assist in project planning
activities. Schedule estimating and risk management planning. Prepare
and present specifications to other members of the team and
participate in specification reviews. Prepare and present code to
other team members as part of code reviews. Participate as a reviewer
in design and code reviews.
Requirements
Bacheloris degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering , or
equivalent experience. Minimum of five years experience in C and C++
development. Minimum of two years experience in object oriented
design. Good understanding of Windows operating systems. Good
understanding of the software engineering process, configuration
control, and testing strategies. Ability to write clear, concise
technical material and specifications. Ability to work under pressure
and complete tasks on time. Proven ability to deliver solid software
on time.
Desired Knowledge/Skills
Development experience with Oracle Spatial. Familiarity with GIS
products and solutions. Experience with COM, ATL, STL, MFC, ObjectARX.
