The Senior Oracle DBA will work very closely with our other database engineers and the rest of the engineering staff, and will be wholly responsible for the daily operations of our production Oracle databases and Oracle data warehouses.
He or she will work to tune and optimize systems, ensure that systems are available 27x7, and add additional functionality to database systems. This person will create, support and enhance database schemas, and streamline internet processes and performance of all Oracle database systems and applications in a highly scalable and reliable backend system.
-Database performance optimization
-Set up, configure, and administer medium to large Oracle Databases running on both Sun Solaris and Linux.
-Plan and implement backup and failover processes for the databases.
-System monitoring, analysis, and performance tuning.
-Modification of physical and logical design and configuration.
-Security Administration
-Research new database solutions for the future growth of the company.
-4+ yrs experience as an Oracle DBA
-3+ yrs hands-on experience with database design methodologies.
-BSCS or MSCS, or equivalent experience
-strong data modeling skills.
