JOB TITLE: Software Engineer, NMS (Workstation)

SALARY : $55000 - $70000


DESCRIPTION:
This Corporation develops High Speed, IP based, End-to-End systems for the
Access market. These products operate over High-bandwidth Metropolitan Fiber
Access loops transporting Voice, Data and Video using Statistical Multiplexing.
This combination results in provisioning at a fraction of the cost per megabit
compared to other solutions and is most efficient for IP-data. Their products
feature comparable reliability, recovery mechanisms and QoS to other
implementations.

Develop SNMP based network management based applications for carrier class
products.

Requires a BS in EE or CS (MS preferred) or equivalent plus 3-5 years related
experience. Experience must include at least 2 years of SNMP network management
development for Telecom/Datacom networking equipment. Requires good knowledge
of Java, C++, object-oriented design, SNMPv1, SNMPv2, MIB II, RMON and other
standard MIBS. Experience in JAVA based network management and provisioning
software for SONET based networks is highly desirable. Must be self motivating
and with good communication skills. Ability and willingness to work in a
tightly-knit team environment to meet aggressive goals is essential.
