Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES: GIT Network Services remote support administrator.
In
this
senior position your knowledge of both UNIX and Microsoft Windows
systems is
needed to manage our current remote access solutions (both dial-up and
VPN).
You will also play a key roll in research; recommendation, development
and
testing of new remote access solutions. This senior role takes a
leading
role
in knowledge transfer of these solutions to other G.I.T. departments.
This
position is also responsible for ensuring that the G.I.T. Network
Services
web
page is continually updated with current information regarding
Acuson's
remote
access solutions. Your excellent interpersonal skills are required to
work
directly with our end-user community to resolve remote access issues
they
may
have. Cases are managed online via Vantive.REQUIREMENTS: BSCS or
equivalent.
Requires 4 or more years of experience with UNIX systems (Sun Solaris
a
plus);
2 or more years of experience with Windows NT/95/98 systems; 2 or more
years
of
experience with Networking - LAN/WAN. Familiarity with remote access
features
of Microsoft workstations (RAS/DUN/PPP) is highly desirable.
Experience
with
firewalls and VPN'' - Checkpoint experience a plus.
