Job Description:
Responsible for design and development of carrier class optical
network
equipment product; design, prototype, testing and analysis of
mechanical
systems and subsystems packaging; coordinate design verification
testing
and
prototype fabrication; provide design information to drafting for
packaging
documentation; oversee qualification projects.
Required Education (or related discipline):
BS Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical-Mechanical Engineering or
equivalent
experience in mechanical product development.
Required Skills:
Minimum 6 years experience as design engineer of
electro-optical-mechanical
packaging for carrier class networking equipment; experience in
network
equipment, telecommunication or electronics with mechanical 2D and 3D
design/development on sheet metal, plastic parts and assemblies;
strong
Pro/E,
AutoCAD skills; optical fiber or electrical cable management
experience;
good
working knowledge of DFX practice, PCB package, DVT/compliance
testing,
thermal
analysis; and knowledge of optical network systems and sub-systems.
