Job Description:
Responsibilities include troubleshooting, testing and
calibration of new generation light wave product assemblies and/or the
completed system; Lab management, including test equipment procurement
and
calibration, and general lab maintenance; Determine, develop and debug
test
methods and procedures from engineering schematics and test
specifications;
prepare technical reports summarizing test results and
coordinate/train
personnel during the transition to production.Required Education (or
related
discipline):AA/AS degree or equivalent in electronics and/or optics
with 4
yrs
development engineering experience.Required Skills:Must have solid
debugging
skills coupled with knowledge of analog and digital circuits; needs to
be
able
to work with minimal supervision and able to interact cross
functionally
throughout the product life cycle; Start-up experience in
manufacturing
environment; Desired Skills: Working knowledge of optical
telecommunications
or telecommunications equipment
