Benefits Analyst (Contractor--possible temp. to perm.)

Pay Rate: $35.00/hr. Responsible for the development, implementation
and
maintenance of the company's benefits programs including vacation,
holiday,
time off, sick pay, unemployment, retirement plans, disability,
flexible
spending, service awards, group health/medical/dental coverage. If
further
responsible for overseeing the communication and administration of the
Company's benefits program in regard to plan options, policy features,
enrollments and benefit provider rate/contract renewals. Ensures
programs
are current with regard to trends, practices and costs and that they
meet
the needs of employees and their families. Negotiates coverage,
services
and costs with carriers and brokers and analyzes benefit costs to
ensure
that the Company and its employees are receiving value for their
contributions. Ensures that the Company's benefit program is in
compliance
with State and Federal regulatory requirements. Key contributor to
the
development of the benefits strategy that
supports the Company's overall objective of attracting and retaining
employees through the use of innovative and practical programs that
meet
their needs and allows them direct access to benefits information and
elections.

Scope includes both domestic an international employee benefit
programs.

Maintains and updates all plan documents, brochures and enrollment
material so that the information is available to employees and that it
is
correct.

Reviews and recommends new benefit plans and plan design changes to
meet the needs of employees and the requirement of the Company to have
a
competitive and cost effective benefit program.

Key contributor to the development and implementation of the benefits
communication strategy using the intranet/internet to give employees
direct
access to plan information and allows them to enroll or change
elections.

Chair of the Company's 401(k) Plan Committee, which has fiduciary
responsibility for the plan's administration and regulatory
compliance.

Responsible for reporting and filing all required Form 5500(s) and
form 11K annually, along with the 401(k) Plan audit. Maintains all of
the required plan records, amendments, summary plan descriptions and
plan
audits. Communicates and posts all regulatory compliance information
to employees.

Key contact for the Company's benefits consultant/broker and plan
vendors regarding plan renewals, plan design changes, contract
provisions,
plans interpretation, exception to the plan provisions and employee
census
data.

Responsible for the reporting and payment of all plan premiums and
the
maintenance of all premium records.

Required Experience

BS Business Administration/HR and 5 years of related experience.

Deep knowledge of benefits.

Experience with: vendor negotiation; review, recommendation,
development and implementation of new and existing benefits programs;
and
401(k)

Knowledge of State and Federal regulatory requirements

Ability to communicate effectively and to work independently, as well
as in a team environment.

Flexible self motivator

Knowledge of commercial HRIS systems.

Desired Experience:

BS Business Administration/HR and 8 years of related experience.

Previous management of benefits programs in a high-tech environment.
