The Department of Fish and Game (DFG) has completed the Final Subsequent Environmental Impact Report (FSEIR) for its proposed suction dredge permitting program. The FSEIR was posted yesterday and is available on DFG's web page at http://www.dfg.ca.gov/suctiondredge/. Unfortunately, some of you may have visited the website already and noticed that the "Page updated" legend at the top of the page was not changed yesterday and indicated incorrectly that the website was last updated on 02/17/2012. This will be corrected in a few minutes. The FSEIR is a lengthy document partitioned on DFG's web page in separate files to view and download. Due to cost considerations and the breadth of related public interest, DFG does not intend to print and distribute hard copies of the FSEIR via regular mail. However, an electronic copy of the FSEIR is available on compact disk (CD). If you would like to receive a CD copy of the FSEIR, please send me a related request via email, including the following in the subject line of your message: Suction Dredge FSEIR CD Request. Your request should also include a mailing address where you would like to receive the CD. Thank you."
