Hi Carol,
I apologize for the delay. We don’t currently have any method of donating royalties to another organization of your choosing.
I forwarded your first email to the account manager who will get in touch with you about adding an amendment which would waive royalties, if that is something you would prefer.
Or, we can continue to hold royalties if you think there is a possibility of obtaining a tax id in the future.
Regards,
Karen

Dear Ms. Weeden,
Jodi Schneider has not been on the Editorial Committee of the Code4Lib Journal for several years. As you may be aware, the Journal is not set up on the same model as for-profit publishers. We did not have a tax id in 2010, and we still do not have a tax id. In fact, we have no way to process payments at all.
The Editorial Committee had discussed possible options in the past for these funds, but evidently no one followed up with EBSCO. Would it be possible to donate this money to another organization of our choosing that could receive the funds?
Looking forward to hearing back on possibilities,
Carol Bean

It doesn't seem that there is anything official yet, but we should at least monitor how things are progressing, if not reach out to the people looking into "Fiscal Continuity".RonOn Wed, Jul 12, 2017 at 8:30 PM, Ruth Kitchin Tillman <rutht...@gmail.com> wrote:I'll see what Chad knows about anything official. On Wed, Jul 12, 2017 at 8:20 PM Carol Bean <bean...@gmail.com> wrote:Gotta be something named Code4Lib.Tried to get them to donate/give to, e.g., Bibliocommons on our behalf.
