It looks like there is a problem with the publication date metadata for at least some articles.
<meta name="citation_publication_date" content="2019/02/14">
Issue 43 was published on 2019-02-14, so maybe something went awry then?
The human-readable text, however, still gets it right:
Another article from issue 9 has the same problem:
https://journal.code4lib.org/articles/2493
- but randomly checking a few articles from other issues before and
after Issue 9 hasn't turned any other cases up. Still, if there's a
reasonably easy way to systematically check this, it would be great. ( I
guess we could crawl all articles and compare their metadata to the
issue in which they were published but hopefully this is easier at the
database level...)
You can see that Google
Scholar has been confused by this, as it lists 2019 as the year of
publication for the primary version of the article:
https://scholar.google.ca/scholar?q=Using+Cloud+Services+for+Library+IT+Infrastructure(If
you click "All 4 versions" you can see that it has other versions, such
as the EBSCOHost copy, that still have a 2010 publication date, but the
erroneous data affects filter by year functionality, etc)
I imagine other services crawling the journal might run into the same problem.
