Greetings to GMS participants in tonight's meeting at St. Matthew.
I know you will be bringing lots of ideas for action by the task force.
I am giving you a heads-up on some possible projects to consider supported by LRC, among others.
One is a training events for a few synod leaders to be trained to bring creation care into congregations in the synod and hold an eco-faith event. May be able to do this with the South Central WI synod.
Another is a rotating loan fund for congregations to lower energy use and carbon footprint. This has had great success in the MetroChicago synod and may qualify for new funds available from our synod.
I have attached
1. a description of the training event arrangement
2. A description of a rotating loan fund
3. A power point describing the rotating loan fund in the Metro Chicago synod.
I will have info about these tonight if you have no chance to look at these. Just giving a heads up.
Dave
