Sorry for this mass email, but it was brought to my attention yesterday that I hadn’t blasted this out yet.
On September 20, we’ve got an incredibly dynamic speaker coming to PRUMC. Jerry has a gift to reach men and we’re so excited to have him speak at our church. He played football for Bear Bryant and was recently the chaplain for the Washington Redskins.
For the men, I hope you’ll attend, but this is literally one of those talks you’ll leave and be kicking yourself because there are four or five other friends who you wish you had invited. Jerry touches men from seeking Christians to determined agnostic and shows them how a man can live in the world today with Christ.
For the women, I hope you’ll forward this to men in our community that you have hoped would find, embrace or stay close to God. If you’ve been living the example, biding your time, looking for the right opportunity, this is the time to cash in your chips and push that loved one to attend this night. Its going to be incredible.

Subject: Very Important PRUMC NPU meeting tomorrow night
Gentlemen,
One of the men from my CLC group spoke with Bill Britt this morning about the NPU meeting tomorrow night at which the zoning conflict with the neighborhood over the new youth center will be discussed. The church seems very concerned about the meeting and they would like to have a minimum of 50 church members there for support. As of today they only have 19 signed up. I believe the meeting will be at 7 pm tomorrow night at the Cathedral of St. Philip.
Please attend the meeting if you can, and please get the word out to your Sunday school class or any other groups you may be involved with.

Tommy Brunson and I are doing a class next year starting October 9 linking the text to music. It’ll be similar to the class earlier this year, but with the newly edited text. Registration isn’t up yet, but I’ll reach out to you when it is.

Morning everyone,
It’s been a while since I’ve written you, but I wanted to reach out and give you a quick update on my progress with the book. It’s got a title and a cover and I sent it off to the layout editor this week. I’m really excited about it all and can’t wait for it to be available to anyone. I’ve attached a preview that explains the title and shows the cover. It’s fine to pass this along to others—this is likely the free preview that will be available on Amazon when it’s widely available at Thanksgiving. I’m pushing hard to get there, but my hope is that it will be for sale on websites in paperback or all formats of eBook (kindle, ibooks, nook) by Thanksgiving. I’ll let you know when its up.
Also, Tommy Brunson and I are doing the class again on A Rooster Once Crowed and a moment with the Gospel starting October 9 on Wednesday evenings from 5:30-7:30 at PRUMC. The class is open to the public, but limited to 24 folks. You’ll get one of the first books off the press and a CD with music that Tommy has put together that goes along with the study. The Gospel Story Through Music
Wednesday, 5:30 pm, Tommy Brunson & Bryant Cornett
Instead of focusing on a verse or a chapter each week, over seven we will survey the breadth of the Gospel Story from Genesis through Acts. The reading will be minimal, but the conversation will span Creation, the Holy Spirit, the prophets, Intertestamental Israel, Greek and Roman. Each week, the reading will be paired with a wide range of music to stimulate thought and see the Gospel for what it actually is, rather than what we sometimes mold it to be. Through small stories and a modern context, this class will help you understand—and truly believe—this greatest story ever told.
Begins October 9.
