I "think" my membership is up to date but I am not getting the Mainsheet Mag?  Last one  I got was Spring 2025.  I tried to log into C320.org but I can't seem to get on line to verify my membership?  Thoughts? procedures?  Wrong url? moved? I'm going insane?

Thanks,

I read somewhere online recently (can't find source at moment) that the
Mainsheet was taking a few months off and would reappear in ??? (can't
remember exactly, no surprise.) Not much help, I know.

Also, I was able to log on to C320.org without problems, just FYI.

Catalina Yachts was sold to an investor named Michael Reardon with big plans, but no record of actually building boats. I think he also bought Tartan.

There were Internet rumors of workers not being paid and people quitting. I know that I got no response the last time I tried to contact the company for some minor help. Before, I always found Catalina extremely helpful.

I suspect this has something to do with this change of command. Reardon's interest is reported to be in high-tech catamarans, not practical coastal cruisers.

I’ve been a member for a year now and have never received a magazine. It was pretty much the whole reason I joined.

My automatic payment which has worked for years was rejected. Nothing wrong with my cc. Trying to get in was difficult. Upon trying to pay the dues the system would normally accept a Canadian address. So not working. Something has gone wrong.

As the C320 editor for Mainsheet, I did get an update recently from the publisher of the magazine. As Jack said, Catalina Yachts was sold recently and the publication of Mainsheet was paused. Here is what Patrick Turner, president (new?) of Catalina Yachts, sent out:

“We want to share an important update regarding Mainsheet. As Catalina Yachts transitions to new ownership, we have made the decision to pause publication of the magazine until Spring 2026.
This transition marks an exciting new chapter for Catalina, and with it comes an opportunity to thoughtfully plan the future of Mainsheet. While the pause is temporary, our dedication to the magazine — and to the Catalina community it represents — remains unchanged.

We are committed to resuming Mainsheet with fresh energy and vision, ensuring it continues to be a valued resource and a celebration of the Catalina family.

What this means for the production calendar is this: The Summer 2025 issue (that the Association Editors already submitted content for) will be published as our Spring 2026 issue — released to readers in February 2026. The submissions deadline for NEW content will be March 1st and published as the Summer 2026 issue.”

This gives C320 members plenty of time to write up a story of their summer travels, systems upgrades or even fall repair work. If you have any article ideas or need a little help organizing or finishing an article, please send me an email at fiddler...@icloud.com <mailto:fiddler...@icloud.com> and I’ll be glad to help out.

On the membership renewal question, I received my renewal notification about two weeks ago and was able to log onto the Wild Apricot website with the link in the email and make my payment. If anyone has trouble with the renewal process, you can contact our treasurer, Bill Culbertson, at billc...@yahoo.com <mailto:billc...@yahoo.com> and he can take care of the renewal directly.
