Good news everyone! 
When Michael Reardon bought and subsequently destroyed Catalina yachts, he did NOT buy the Catalina Yacht Store which is co-run by Holly Hannah, a long time Catalina employee. When Jim Holder retired as editor of Mainsheet a couple years ago and Catalina took it over, Holly was our contact for submitting articles and she handled publishing of the magazine. 
Recently, Holly reached out to find out if there was enough interest among the Associations to continue publishing an online only version of Mainsheet. She is willing to take this on if there is enough financial support from the various Associations to cover the cost. We volunteered our typical quarterly Mainsheet expense to the project. 
She got back to me recently, that the project is a go, invoiced me for our contribution, and I paid it.
The first issue will be March 2026.

Has anyone ever considered a collective offer by essentially all Catalina
boat owners to buy Catalina Yachts? The owners could become the owner --
like an employee owned business but owner owned.

Just curious if this is even a thing.
