[C320-list] Companionway boards

Looking to replace companionway boards with Starboard. Has anyone done this? I'm interested in your experience,

I replaced mine with doors made out of Starboard. I'm not a carpenter but
StarBoard is easy to work with and the doors came out very well. Attached
is the plan I drew up, be sure to check the dimensions on your boat.

Hello Rene and everyone else. Apparently, the PDF of my doors is being
blocked by the 320 site filter. It is attached but it you didn't get it
just email me at mi...@softscrap.com and I'll send it too you. The doors
were a fairly easy project using StarBoard and some lexan for the windows. I
got the hinges through defender marine.

If anyone is looking for better pricing on Starboard (or Seaboard which is
very very similar), consider ebay. We buy quite a bit of it here for various
small projects: https://www.ebay.com/str/norvaplasticsinc

You may find some cutoffs that are very close to the dimensions you need for
reduced prices.

I recently got 6 small sheets from them. They were discounted cutoffs from
one of their larger production jobs and were in perfect condition with
plastic protective covering. $5 each for 1/2" thick 14"x20" plus
shipping.

You'd need 7/8" or 1" I suspect.
