Set screws are on my 1999. I didn’t reuse them, replaced with new sharp ones: Maxmoral Fixed Screw 1/4 20x3/8...

After I cut out the old bearing with a hack saw blade and cleaned out the strut, the new bearing went in smoothly with dish washing soap, wood block and hammer.
Like I show in my gallery photos, I slid the motor forward to replace the shaft instead of disconnecting the transmission since I was replacing mounts anyway.
