I have piped in on this issue I have regarding rain water coming in from somewhere. The water gathers under the galley floorboards. No water in the engine well. The back shaft by the engine area dry. Water is coming under and ending up under the floor boards.

Frustrated water hound!!

Could you have a leak in your water heater or galley sink plumbing (lose
whale fitting/split tubing)? That could be sending water into the area you
describe? You could add some food coloring dye to your water holding
tanks, and over a week or two see if the water under your galley
floorboards is that color. You are in a cold zone, so something could have
gone awry with wintering your plumbing. Just a thought. I've also had
whale fittings under the galley sink split on me from just the water
pressure as they aged.

Big sources of rain water that I found included the emergency tiller hatch and the propane tank pan. I also had a water line between the galley and the head leak and "feed" water to the  structural grid. That seep looked like a keel/keel bolt leak, but was not. None of these appeared in the engine pan or propeller shaft areas.

So I’ve recently found two leaks. A large one was from the helm seat pedestal. I simply rebedded it with butyl tape. The other was from a small drip from the fresh water pump.
Good luck in your search.

Oh, I also found a broken bilge pump hose so it was circulating bilge water instead of it going overboard.

Can you elaborate on specific steps for dealing with the pedestal leak(s).

Hello Marko,
Do you have inspection ports on your fresh water tanks?

If you do, I will speculate here that the water under the galley isn’t rain water but rather fresh water leaking from those cursed inspection ports.

I have this issue and have been unable to stop them from leaking. I have tried everything, including Flex Seal (in a moment of exasperation). I am resigned to replacing both tanks. But that’s for another discussion.

What is very important is that the forward tank is higher than the half tank. So never have the forward tanks both on use the water in the tank and then the tank.

My current position with the rain water under my galley floorboard. My boat is still on the hard from the winter. My water tanks are empty with just a bit of antifreeze. My hot water tank is empty after I put in a bipass. My water issue happened after I took off my winter cover. There was no sign of water while the cover was on. I will check the propane area as well as the cover on the emergency tiller. The other area of concern is the top of the campionway.

Thank you everyone for your feedback

Hi. It is my opinion that the water comes from the sliding hatch. I have
the same issue which I consider minor. The cabin sole under it or removable
by some screws to reveal an access hole about 5 inches in diameter from
which you can sponge up the water. Early on my ownership I overfilled the
aft water tank and some water got there. Just my 2 cents.

Marko-
The leak related to my propane "pan" was at the top of the pan (that holds the tank).  Look around the outside edge when you lift the compartment lid.  There are 4 screws holding the pan down to the hull opening.  The caulk had deteriorated and leaked badly. After taking the tank out, I only had to disconnect the bottom drain line to be able to unscrew the pan and lift it sufficiently to clean up and reseal the top edge.
I saw the leak during a rain storm by looking up through the rear hatch in the aft stateroom. Water was dripping onto my refrigerator compressor.

One other place you may want to look is the steering pedestal handle where it attaches to the deck. I did some instrument replacements this last year and found the previous owner. Had used a lot of silicone sealant to prevent leaks in that area. Based on the way it’s design, I can understand why. I resealed it with butyl tape and caulking.

Do you mean the flush-mounted  circular deck hatch for the emergency tiller handle? It is a bad design to prevent leaks.

I just want to clarify my earlier post to avoid any confusion I may have caused. I have since found out that my helm seat is not the standard seat, so the helm seat leak that I had won’t apply to most C320s. I have a rotating and folding seat mounted on a post fastened to the deck with a type of floor flange.

The broken bilge pump hose leak would apply, though :)
