Can anyone tell me how to add turning blocks to the mast step base on the
Selden mast? I may be over complicating it, but I can't figure out how to
get a normal block secured into the female fittings in the mast step base.
Anyone done this? Am I overcomplicating things?

Thanks in advance

Thanks, and maybe I am missing something, but I am not talking about the
hinge pin. I am talking about the turning blocks that are mounted into
female fittings around the base of the mast. On Pearl, there are several
open female fittings on the mast base and I would like to add a block to
one of them to separate the boom vang control block from the main sheet
(both currently attached to the same bale)

Dan,

That link that was sent is correct. You slide the nut in underneath the step. Pass the pin down through the hole in the step and get the nut to thread on to the pin. The nut will retract up into a recess shaped the nut so that it can be tightened. Once the pin is installed, you shackle a block to the hole in the top of the pin.

Catalina Direct has the pins and the OEM block. The Mast Step Pin part number Q0004 (Zero Zero Zero Four).

Way basic question I know, but, there seem to be a bunch of impellers that fit a 3GM30F. We have a 1998 #536. Does anyone know the exact part number for the kit and/or the individual impeller itself I know Catalina Direct has the right part, but, in charging twice the price, they don't list the part number....

Thanks ahead of time folks!

Bill if you still have an original Johnson pump
Model F4B-903, the Johnson impeller to fit is type 08-810B or 09-810B. Should be neoprene. Includes gasket 01-42391 but we use an o-ring part number 0.2173.476.
Yanmar part for the impeller is 128990-42570, previously 128990-42200.
Alternative Jabsco impeller is 653-0001.

Hope that helps.

Based on the hull number of your boat, the original engine was almost
certainly a 3GM30F-YEU Yanmar. You can tell for sure based on the serial
number beginning with an "E" for Euro. It’s also very likely that the
engine was purchased from Boatswain's Locker. This sticker is likely
still on the top of the engine near the rear.

If you can confirm you have the Euro version of the engine then the pump
that was installed was a Johnson pump. The Johnson part number for the
impeller is 09-810B-1. The Yanmar part number is 128990-12200. You will
also need the oring which is X0506523-01.

There is no guarantee of course that a previous owner didn’t change out
your pump. IF you have a paper gasket then you do not have the original
pump.

These parts are VERY common and any good marina chandlery will have these
parts in stock.

Regarsds
