Wondering if others have had an issue replacing the drawer frame under the
sink in the galley. the yard removed it last year to winterize the water
system, I figured I'd put it back together myself this year - cannot get
the frame all the way in, it hits the large black hose that leads to the
seacock. Don't want to force it as the PEX lines are behind it and it's
pretty tight. Seems like it couldn't have been wedged in that hard before.

I always had to wiggle the frame around quite a bit to get it to fit back
in but it will go. It just needs to be lined up perfectly, at least from my
experience on the 320 and now on the 387. Probably not needed to be said
but make sure the drawers are out.

Lou- And I just remembered that I cut out a piece of the back panel as I
was afraid it was chafing or might chafe the galley drain hose. Maybe that
is why mine went back in so much easier (after all the wiggling)?

Mine fits in there really tight as well. I took a plastic quart yogurt container, cut off the bottom then cut it in half vertically. This created a half moon plastic shield that I slid in between the hose and drawer. I trimmed it to size, cut two small "holes" with an exacto knife and slid a ziptie into the holes and ziptied the plastic shield to the hose. I remove the drawers when doing maintenance in that area and always have to giggle it to go back in, but it does go.

I was wondering if I should do that, hopefully it doesn't affect the frame
stability too much?

Lou:

Open the top drawer and use that area as a handle to lift up the framing. You might need to rotate it, clockwise a little to get it to fit in there correctly. It. Should slide in all the way. Then all you have to do is put your screws in.

Coming to this thread belatedly. Over the winter my yard replaced the hot water heater, which was leaking. I think they must have moved hoses slightly in the process, because when I tried to reinsert the frame yesterday I found I could not get it back in, despite a cutout in back. I've never had this problem previously. In the end I decided to replace the black hose with a longer one. This causes the hose to arch more than before (still sloping downward, however) so that it has more clearance to the back of the frame.

FYI, the reason I had removed the frame is because we found water in the drawers and traced the problem to cracks in the plastic elbow assembly under the starboard sink drain. It took me quite a while to figure out what that part is. For future reference it is a Forespar drain assembly SW-2 (part number 907014). That's for just the elbow tailpiece that cracked. (The full drain assembly is SW-4.) Miraculously the marina store had one in stock!

interesting. thanks for that. I'll keep an eye out for leaks. I was able
to get the frame back in with some jiggling. However, one of the pads on
the cradle is currently covering the galley thru hull so I'll
have to wait till it's in the water to flush the tank.(what are the
odds?). Hopefully no leaks when I run the fawcet then.
