Plagued for some time about a source of fresh water in the bilge, we finally
found the culprit. The fitting on the head sink/shower hose where the
flexible hose connects to the fitting was leaking when the water was
running. Not enough to impair the water flow at the faucet; but, enough to
collect 2-3 gallons over time in the space between the hull and liner.
(Newer models have a different stringer design.) So now, we have a dry
bilge; but, no working faucet in the head.

Sure Flo makes an entire faucet unit for $160-200. I can also likely find
other options at an RV store; but, I'd like to get a new hose and save the
investment in a whole new unit. Unfortunately, it seem some standards have
change in the ensuing 17 years; and, a replacement hose with the appropriate
connections is hard or impossible to find.

Has anyone had this problem? Any ideas on securing a replacement hose?

Thanks.

Warren,
May not be the same thing, but several years ago I replaced the hose going to the stern shower with an assembly I bought at Home Depot, it has worked fine since. I know that Catalina uses similar redundancy. Might not be similar, but worth a try.

Warren,

I replaced this hose a number of years ago and I believe I got the
replacement from Catalina Direct for a lot less than the cost of a new unit
below.
