Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer with a strong background in Java, SQL, and Unix Shell Scripting to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5 7 years of experience in software development and production support, specifically at L2/L3 levels. This role requires a deep understanding of Java 8, as it is a deal breaker skill for this position. The candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting software applications while ensuring high availability and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Java 8.
• Perform L2/L3 production support, troubleshooting issues, and providing timely resolutions.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for database interactions.
• Utilize Unix Shell Scripting for automation and process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Document technical specifications and maintain up to date project documentation.
• Stay current with industry trends and technologies to enhance development practices.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proficient in Java 8 programming.
• Strong experience with SQL and database management.
• Hands on experience with Unix Shell Scripting.
• Experience in L2/L3 production support.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Knowledge of additional programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5 7 years of relevant experience in software development and production support.
• Proven track record of delivering high quality software solutions.
