Responsibilities

The experienced SAP ABAP Lead will:

• Ensure correct estimation of required ABAP resources/hours needed to meet project requirements.
• Proactively work and mitigate any unforeseen risks.
• Recognize the most appropriate and productive long terms solutions for business.
• Lead the team of geographically distributed ABAP developers to ensure productivity and correct schedule of business required changes.
• Collaborate with functional leads on design of functional requirements and work on creating document structure.
• Provide initial estimates of effort for development to support ongoing SAP implementations or improving existing SAP systems.
• Demonstrate ability to work with multiple streams to get the WRICEF requirements, effort estimates and the related approach based on functionality scope
• Key deliverables will be based on specific work assignments
• Support world-wide IT projects in the SAP

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• SAP (ABAP) Certification desired
• 12+ years of strong SAP ABAP development experience in various modules, including FI/CO, SD, MM, WM and preferably in QM and PP.
• 2+  Full cycle SAP implementation.
• Experience in SAP Reports (Classical & Interactive), Dialogue Programming, Reports using ALV.
• Proficiency in object orientation (OOP’s) of classes, interfaces, and methods.
• Experience with conversion and Interfaces.
• Extensive experience using BDC, LSMW and BAPI.
• Proficiency in Adobe forms, Smart forms, and SAP Scripts.
• Configuring the smart forms/SAP Scripts to the output type in NACE.
• Custom development and modifications to SAP defined layouts sets and print programs using smart forms and SAP Scripts.
• Experience with performance tuning.
• Experience with IDocs.
• Experience with Proxy.
• Working knowledge of EDI. 
• Knowledge of Gentran.
• Extensive experience with Customer exits, User exits and BADIs for SAP Enhancements using classes.
• Experience in using various modularization techniques like subroutines, Function modules, RFC’s and class modules. 
• Extensive experience with debugging using various SAP provided methodologies; Experience in analyzing runtime errors and debugging ABAP Programs.
• Experience with analytical and problem-solving skill set required.
• Work in collaboration within development team and across other team members.
• Learn and understand business processes.
• Experience with documentation including Unit test and technical specifications.
• Experience with code review.
• On-Call rotation
• Good communication skill.
