Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of overall IT experience
- Strong hands-on experience in Oracle HCM (Cloud preferred)
- Expertise in BI Publisher (reports, templates, bursting)
- Expertise in integrations (HCM Extracts, HDL, REST/SOAP APIs)
- Expertise in SQL & PL/SQL development
- Experience with data migration, reporting, and interface development
- Strong understanding of HR business processes (Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, etc.)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, onsite/hybrid environment
Role Overview
Cognizant is urgently seeking a hands-on Oracle HCM Technical Lead to support a critical backfill role with Ford. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle HCM modules, integrations, and reporting, along with deep technical skills in SQL and PL/SQL. This role requires both technical leadership and hands-on development in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Technical Core & Responsibilities
Development & Reporting
- Lead design, development, and support of Oracle HCM technical solutions
- Work extensively on BI Publisher reports, data extracts, and document generation
- Write and optimize complex SQL and PL/SQL queries, packages, and procedures
Integrations
- Develop and manage integrations using Oracle HCM Cloud tools (HCM Extracts, HDL, APIs, etc.)
Leadership & Collaboration
- Collaborate with business and functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, data discrepancies, and integration failures
- Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and best practices guidance to the team
- Ensure data integrity, performance optimization, and system scalability
- Support release cycles, testing, and deployment activities
Nice to Have
- Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
- Exposure to Fast Formulas
- Prior experience working with Ford or large enterprise clients
