We are seeking an experienced Technology Specialist – Data on Cloud with strong expertise in MongoDB and cloud-based data platforms to support IT service, support, and operations initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with MongoDB internals, cloud-hosted database solutions, and backend integration, and will play a key role in managing high-volume, distributed data platforms.
Manage and support complex MongoDB deployments, including multi-region replica sets and sharded clusters handling high-volume workloads.
Design, implement, and optimize document-oriented data models, balancing denormalization and embedding strategies based on application needs.
Develop and tune complex queries, manage indexing strategies, and leverage the MongoDB Aggregation Framework for data transformation and reporting.
Monitor and optimize database performance by analyzing key metrics such as query execution time, index usage, and system bottlenecks.
Integrate MongoDB with backend services developed in Node.js, Java, Python, or Go, supporting RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures such as Kafka.
Work with cloud-hosted database platforms like MongoDB Atlas, utilizing advanced features including Search, Data Federation, and Vector Search for AI-driven use cases.
Collaborate with application, cloud, and DevOps teams to ensure scalable, secure, and highly available data solutions across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
8–10 years of experience working with MongoDB and NoSQL database platforms.
Deep knowledge of BSON, CRUD operations, and MongoDB internals such as the WiredTiger storage engine.
Strong proficiency in server-side programming (Node.js, Python, Java, C#, or Go).
Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs.
Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred; Azure or GCP acceptable).
Advanced experience with schema design and performance optimization.
Experience supporting AI/ML workloads using MongoDB Vector Search.
Exposure to large-scale, distributed, or event-driven systems.
