We are seeking an experienced Middleware / WebSphere Administrator to support enterprise application infrastructure, platform stability, automation, vulnerability remediation, and deployment operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IBM WebSphere, Linux administration, MQ administration, Ansible automation, vulnerability management, and CI/CD practices.
Required Skills and Experience
· Strong 8 years of hands-on experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server administration.
· Working knowledge of Ansible for automation, configuration management, or deployment support.
· Solid Linux experience, including command-line operations, system troubleshooting, file permissions, log review, shell scripting basics, and service management.
· Experience supporting vulnerability remediation activities, including patching, configuration hardening, risk review, and coordination with security teams.
· Knowledge of IBM MQ administration concepts, including queue managers, queues, channels, listeners, message flow, and connectivity troubleshooting.
· Experience working with CI/CD tools and deployment processes in enterprise environments.
· Ability to troubleshoot middleware, infrastructure, and application-related issues across distributed environments.
· Good understanding of change management, incident management, release management, and production support processes.
· Strong communication, documentation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in banking, financial services, or other highly regulated enterprise environments.
· Exposure to DevOps practices, Jenkins, Git, Artifactory, or similar CI/CD toolsets.
· Experience with monitoring tools, log analysis platforms, and alert management processes.
· Understanding of security standards, audit requirements, access controls, and infrastructure compliance processes.
· Experience supporting high-availability, clustered, or mission-critical application environments.
Key Responsibilities
· Install, configure, administer, and support IBM WebSphere Application Server environments across development, test, and production platforms.
· Monitor middleware infrastructure health, troubleshoot application and server issues, and ensure high availability and performance.
· Perform Linux-based administration activities including log analysis, scripting support, service management, access validation, and system-level troubleshooting.
· Support vulnerability assessment, analysis, prioritization, remediation planning, patch coordination, and compliance validation across middleware and Linux environments.
· Administer and support IBM MQ environments, including queue managers, channels, queues, connectivity, monitoring, troubleshooting, and basic performance support.
· Use Ansible or similar automation tools to streamline configuration management, deployments, patching, and operational tasks.
· Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, release management, and DevOps teams to support reliable application delivery.
· Participate in CI/CD pipeline activities, deployment automation, release validation, rollback planning, and environment readiness checks.
· Document technical procedures, operational runbooks, configuration changes, and remediation steps.
· Provide production support, participate in incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
