Role: QA Engineer – Property & Casualty Insurance
Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid/Onsite) - Local
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Visa: USC, H4EAD, GCEAD, H1B
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to support testing initiatives for Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manual and/or automation testing, with a solid understanding of insurance workflows such as policy, claims, and billing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and technical requirements and develop comprehensive test strategies and test cases
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing
- Validate end-to-end workflows across policy administration, claims, and billing systems
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to ensure quality deliverables
- Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA / Azure DevOps
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
- Support test data setup and environment validation
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years of QA / Software Testing experience
- Strong experience in manual testing of web-based applications
- Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, ALM, etc.)
- Good understanding of API testing (Postman / REST services)
- Experience with SQL for data validation
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
